Hi, I'm Cathy's photographer, Scott Gilbertson. I manage this blog.
I am not a "professional photographer" although I have on occasion taken product photographs during working hours (some of which appear at https://www.mantatest.com/). I've also done some video work (both as crew and "talent") for Manta (link to their YouTube channel). I work at Manta as a software developer.
Photography is a hobby for me, and I really enjoy photographing inanimate objects. Cathy brings me lots interesting items, and I learn a lot by experimenting with different techniques while shooting those. I like a challenge, and I have found some of the items (particularly highly-reflective ones) very challenging.
I've only ever posted a few videos to my YouTube channel. I have a second YouTube channel, where I have (years ago) placed some raw footage, with a CC license in case anybody has a use for it. I keep meaning to do more hobby videos but, you know... life.
I also do some amateur wildlife photography (mainly birds), which I've been posting on Google+. That's shutting down soon (as I write this in March 2019), so I may have to move some of those to Flikr or Blogger.
